Since inception of the WOMEN’S WORLD AWARDS in June 2004 many exceptional individuals from around
the globe have been honored with awards for their achievements in various fields and for their
contributions to furthering self-determination, gender equality, freedom and the elimination
of all forms of social and economic discrimination of women.
The WOMEN’S WORLD AWARDS presents a message of inspiration and hope to women around the world,
showcasing international heroines and just average people doing their best in their immediate
environment, thereby being important real-life role models for millions around the globe.
These are the extraordinary women who have made a difference and been honored at the WOMEN’S

Queen Noor is an international humanitarian activist and an outspoken voice on issues of world peace and justice. She is actively involved in a number of international organizations dealing with global peace-building and conflict recovery and currently serves as an expert advisor to the United Nations on these issues. |

artists of our time. She received the award for her immense contributions to music,

most famous fashion houses was honored for her trendsetting and unique designs with
which she has reinvigorated the traditional fashion house and once again made it
onto one of the leading brands in the world. |

topped the American charts. She was honored for helping to popularize a new
entertainment genre that, in the meantime, has become a worldwide success – just

forced into a marriage at the age of 8 with a 30-year-old man. She refused to accept
her fate and successfully fought for a divorce. She was honored for inspiring

honored for her sustained engagements and support for children in conflict areas
through her organization “World Centers of Compassion for Children”. |
