HONORING WOMEN IN A GLOBAL EVENT.
Ever since the inception of the WORLD AWARDS in 2000 President Gorbachev
had longed to extend the awards to honor deserving women in an own event.
“On a global scale women are more important than men”, Mr. Gorbachev states,
“they bear many responsibilities and very rarely receive the recognition
they deserve. It was the time to establish an event to honor exceptional
women who have changed our world for the better.”
